Turner
Mrs. Stephanie Turner earned her Specialist and Master of Education degrees from Georgia State University in the area of Early Childhood Education. In addition to these degrees, Mrs. Turner was certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in November 2001.
Mrs. Turner has been teaching at Neighborhood Charter School since its opening in 2002. She is ecstatic to be working with Second Grade students currently, but also enjoyed her time as a Third Grade Teacher at Neighborhood Charter School. Before joining the wonderful NCS community, she was a Gifted Instructor for Kindergarten through Sixth Grade students in the Dekalb County School System and a teacher at Woodward Academy. During her free time, Mrs. Turner was a freelance writer for The Education Center, Inc. where she had an instructional math book published, as well as several units of inquiry for their Mailbox and Book Bag magazines.
Not a native of Georgia, Mrs. Turner moved to Atlanta from Charleston, South Carolina several years ago to attend college. Here she met and married Robert Turner, a Network Design Engineer for AT&T. The couple lives in the area with their three dogs: a basenji and two rat terriers. You may see them dining in the neighborhood or out walking with their dogs.
