PTCA (Parent, Teacher, and Community Association)

Parent, Teacher, and Community Association (PTCA)

All parents/guardians, teachers and community members are encouraged to join the PTCA and attend the bi-monthly meetings each September, November, January, March, and May. PTCA meetings are an excellent opportunity to obtain information and engage in discussions about the school. PTCA membership is open to parents/guardians, teachers, and members of the community. Annual membership dues are $30 for a two-parent family and $15 for a single-parent family. When you join the PTCA, please consider sponsoring another family for membership.

The PTCA sponsors a variety of education enrichment activities for the students throughout the year and hosts and funds various informative events, fundraisers, and social events, and provides childcare for a number of NCS-related meetings. Examples of educational enrichment activities include history trunks from the Atlanta History Center, storytellers, and science programs. Other events include Orientation, Curriculum Nights, 3rd Friday Coffees, Movie Nights, and Grandparents and Special Friends Day. The PTCA also coordinates and funds Teacher Appreciation Week each May.
