NCS Discipline Code - Level Two

Misbehavior that requires immediate intervention by the staff member who is supervising the student or observes the misbehavior:

Examples of Misbehavior Procedures Possible Discipline Responses
Repeated Violations of Level One Misbehaviors Principal is Notified and Meets with the Student (s) and teacher Reprimand from the Principal
Showing Disrespect to others in Word and/or Gesture/ Defiance Teacher prepares a written discipline report Referral to Behavior Action Team (BAT)
Loitering in Unauthorized Areas of the School Building/ Grounds Principal with teacher determines appropriate discipline response. Removal from Extra-Curricular Activities and/or Off-Campus Activities
Misbehavior at NCS Sponsored Activity Parents are Notified By the Teacher and/or the Principal of the Student Misconduct and Disciplinary Action Taken Parent Conference
Possession of Obscene Materials An Accurate Record of the Misbehavior and Disciplinary Response is Maintained By the Teacher and/or Principal Alternative Consequence and Notifies Parents
Possession of Tobacco Products Students Required to Clean, Replace, and/or Repair Damage
Bus Misconduct Attendance Policy
Inappropriate Touching/Hitting Guidance Referral
Fighting/ “Play Gone Bad” Referral to an Outside Agency
