Chelsea Jackson
Hello! My name is Chelsea Jackson and I am originally from Dayton, Ohio. I came to Atlanta in 1997 to attend Spelman College where I earned a degree in Child Development. I missed Atlanta so much, that I returned to teach after earning a Masters in International Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City.
I love nature and was once a Park Ranger in New Mexico at Carlsbad Caverns where I taught children in the Junior Ranger Program. Currently, I am a member of the African Cultural Dance Company of Atlanta and teach Yoga at Spelman College and the Cabbagetown Community Center. I am excited about Third Grade and absolutely thrilled to be a member of the Neighborhood Charter School!

Amanda Pina
Hello, my name is Amanda Pina. I moved to the Atlanta area a year ago and began working with City Schools of Decatur. I began the year as a substitute teacher and was offered a full time paraprofessional position part way through the year. I am currently attending college at Georgia State University and am pursuing a B.S. in early childhood education.
I was married to my husband, Todd, last October in Savannah, Georgia. I have a six-year son named Trenton who will be in Ms. Waggoner’s 1st grade class here at NCS. I also have a cat with thumbs named Seymour.
I am very honored and exited to be a new member of the NCS family. I am looking forward to a great year and can’t wait to meet everyone! |
